A long time ago, I used to rent a house with a partly deaf scouser who had a particularly good ear (!!) for techno; dirty, driving, filthy techno. True Story. Anyway, said scouser purchased his own decks in the early 00’s and with a boat load of techno in hand set about recording a mix. And what a mix it was; it was rough in places, some of the beats slipped, but boy was it great to listen to. It captured a vibe from the free parties and techno scene of Bristol down to a tee, 8am in a warehouse chic.
Only a few very lucky people got a copy of this mix. I was one of those lucky people. Up until now though, I’ve not been able to create a copy as it won’t play in a laptop CD/DVD drive. So, just for your listening pleasure, I’ve re-recorded this straight off the original disc via the CD decks (where it will play funnily enough), no re-edits, no clean up, as original as it could be. There’s no tracklisting unfortunately, but hey, it’s just Techno.
