Those that know me well (and there are a few) know I’m extremely fussy about the mixes I share. More so now I’ve gotten older. I want glitch free audio excellence, on a par with a commercial disc or as close as I can get it (told you I was fussy). When I’m on form, I can mix like a man possessed, annoyingly, me being on form doesn’t happen that often and certainly not when I’m trying to record a mix.
So, what I end up with is ten’s of discs littering the office and car with test runs of the mixes. When I’ve been at a mix too long though, it all starts to head off the rails pretty quickly (Pure Vinyl 2 is testament to that) – so to get things back on track, I tend to bosh some tunes for fun. Usually those of a hard, energetic persuasion, usually roughly mixed together. Most of these sessions are a one off, but, sometimes I record them, just to have something different to listen to in the car.
What I’ve just uploaded is one of these sessions. I’ve called it Just 4 Fun, as that’s what this mix is. It’s me, just boshing some tunes together. I’m sharing it because it was fun to do. it’s a hard house/NRG number, pretty fast with the majority of the tunes a decade old! Oh, and it’s all vinyl.

I am aware that I’ve still got an issue recording audio and as such there are moments where the mix skips, I’m still diagnosing the problem. If it keeps on, I’ll be wiping the laptop and re-installing.
